English as an extra language

Speaking the basics of three other languages (Spanish, French and Finnish), I understand the challenges of using another language and the frustrations that can arise when trying to creatively express yourself.

These insights help me to offer a non-judgemental and patient approach to those in a similar situation.

These days, I spend most of my time in beautiful Finland, so it's natural that this opportunity arises. The standard of English across the Nordics is often very good, but there can be little things which don't quite translate well. With English as my main language, I can offer alternatives and also make recommendations when the wording might be perceived as insensitive, outdated or just a little bit awkward.
