English as an extra language

Spending much of my time in Finland, it's natural that this opportunity arises. The standard of English across Scandinavia is often very good, but there can be little things that don't quite translate well. With English as my main language, I can offer alternatives and also make recommendations when the wording might be percieved as insensitive, outdated or just a little bit awkward.

Speaking the basics of three other languages (Spanish, French and Finnish), I understand the challenges of using another language and the frustrations that can arise when trying to creatively express yourself. These insights help me to offer a non-judgemental and patient approach to those in a similar situation.
